Lowell Elementary students grabbed their vests and hard hats, and teamed up with their principal, superintendent, and Tacoma School Board President to officially kick off construction on their new school!

Families, staff, community members, and TPS leaders all came together to dig in and celebrate this exciting milestone. The new Lowell will feature upgraded playfields, a community garden, and modern learning spaces—set to open in fall 2026.

A special thank you to Korsmo Construction, BCRA Designs and Lincoln High School CTE students for designing the Lowell Groundbreaking t-shirts.
